One would think that the name DAVIDIAN would be rather unique or at least not very famous, still I was surprised to see that there are a bunch of bands sharing this name out there. So, the DAVIDIAN we’re dealing with here are from Germany, they play thrash metal and this is their third full length work that comes out about three years after their sophomore work, “Hear their Cries”. Now, their rendition of thrash metal isn’t one dimensional, but it’s rather enriched with plenty of elements from other genres and other times it leans more towards the old school sound and other times it has a clear modern approach. So, what you should expect to listen to on “Our Fear Is their Force” is well played, tight and aggressive thrash metal which is quite often infused with some death metal touches, more rarely it’s blended in with some hardcore tinges and other times it has a straightforward and clear SLAYER old school approach. The end result is really dynamic, delivered skillfully by good musicians and wrapped up in a good production, which means that this album has everything a thrash metal fan might be looking for!
